Fri, July 29, 2005 - 8:48 PMI think the best bars in AZ for beer are two;
one is Uptown Billiards in flagstaff. it is a good place to play pool, smoke a cigar you can buy there and try one of the 40-50 plus beers they have on tap. i mis that place, makes me almost miss my college years at NAU.
The other favorite beer bar is the Timberwolf in Tempe. They have over 100+ beers on tap. nevermind that they have some crap too like bud, miller coors, the majority are top notch imports and microbrews. The servers are cute and provide good service (customer service; get your minds out of the gutter mister!) and the place is kinda like a ski lodge which is kinda cool. -

Sun, July 31, 2005 - 5:49 PMI have to agree, Timberwolf WAS the best place to get a beer mostly because of the insane amount of choices they had. Unfortunately though, the building is about to be demolished and replaced by some part of the ever-expanding university.
I'd definitely recommend Four Peaks to anyone that hasn't been there...try the Hop Knot if you like hoppy beers.
Oh, and the servers there are hot as well. -
